simple oatmeal

A warm bowl of oatmeal, with a twist to an original recipe with added superfoods to fuel a long day!


Super simple to make!



Ingredients:

1/2 cup of oats

  • 1 mashed banana

  • 3 tbsp applesauce and/or 2 tbsp grated/diced apple

  • 1 tsp coconut oil (optional)

  • 1/2 cup of almond milk

  • 1 scoop of vanilla @leanfitprotein

  • 1 tsp chia seeds

  • 1 tsp hemp seeds

  • 1 tsp flax seeds

  • dash of cinnamon

Instructions:


1. Mix all ingredients together in a small pot and let simmer for about 5-8 minutes over medium heat.


* You may decide to cook it longer or shorter depending on what texture and consistency you prefer your oats, so cook it until it satisfy your tastebuds!


You can add and take away any ingredient that you can't have. Oatmeal is gluten-free for the most part. Double check the ingredients as some may contain wheat*. Again, you may use any nut milk and a variety of fruits and nuts for your toppings. I don't add any sugar to this recipe since the fruits add a lot of sweetness. Feel free to add some honey or maple syrup!


Remember you are never limited to your oatmeal toppings. Some days I prefer to have certain toppings like just sliced banana, maple syrup, crushed walnuts and berries. But some days I want every topping you can name from nuts, coconuts, fruits, dried fruits and more. Listen to your cravings as we all know they never disappoint.
